SO... the first week of Track is always dreaded... because the coaches try to get rid of you!! Its a living nightmare, the first week!!! O
Monday: The three mile run. That day it was hotter than usual- and by hotter I mean 40 degrees... So that made it a little better. I ran with Selu and Rachel, just having a swell time... running... three miles... it wasn't very fun... I hope you can tell I hated it!
Tuesday: Sprint day. We ran about 4 200's and a couple 100's. And of course you want to do your absolute best! It was hard to do good because my calves were on fire ever since the three mile run, so that made it harder to sprint!
Wednesday: This day was not bad at all- I was taking an Impact Test, they are for concussions. This test took about a half hour to forty five minutes, just guessing, because I missed the whole practice. That day everyone else ran 800's. If you added up how much they ran it was only a mile and a half. So all I had to do as to run only two laps! I lucked out!
Thursday: Today was the worst by far!! First of all it was freezing cold!!!! We had to jog to a hill, where we would be sprinting up it... I about cried after the first two sprints! I HATED IT! All of us were cramping so we just got worse and worse after every sprint. The hill was fairly large so that made my calves nearly burst! Amanda and I decided to do the optional fifth sprint- I don't know why, I guess Amanda and i wanted to show we were willing to do more? After that we both felt like we were gonna throw up! And we got pretty close to it too! Walking back was painful only because my calves and butt cramps....
We have no idea what is planned for tomorrow or Saturday... but ITS ALMOST OVER!
