Missionary Homecomings are the best... Wednesday night Andrew came home from his mission in Georgia! All of dad's side of the family showed up! So we pretty much took up the whole airport. All the little kids were running around, the older ones were walking around talking, same with the adults, and we were all anxious and excited!!
Spencer and Richard kept running in and out of the airport looking for the plane. Then a couple rounds later, shouts echoed throughout the whole airport "It's the plane!!" All of the family gethered by the doors waiting for Andrew. Jordan had a video camera and we were zooming in on all of the passengers exiting the plane, yes, we did see Andrew. Then he came through the doors and we all clapped for him. There he was in his suit and tie. He shook all of our hands and hugged all of us and talked with everyone.
It was an amazing experience for everyone who was there!
After that the family headed into town for pizza. Yeah, we took up half the restraunt! It was fun to be with everyone and just hang out. Another thing, we had 2 more people to see come home from their missions... Alicia and Kara!
Alicia came home tuesday from Alaska. I didn't get to see her because I was sick. Next was Kara coming home from Puerto Rico! Her plane was supposed to come in on Thursday at nine o'clock that night. We planned on going, but then got a call from Debby that said it wouldn't come in until ten... Dad wakes up very early for work and said he couldn't go, and mom didn't want to go that late either. So yeah, we were sad we couldn't go see her come home. But we will get to go down to battle Mountain and see them all together!
So, the week went well besides being sick! Tonight there's a dance and those are the events everyone here looks forward to because there are A LOT of LDS kids here.. Its gonna be fun!

Recently....
What's recently been happening here....
1. At our school on a Friday... [this was the worst day ever!] all the school was evacuated to a different building [the gym]. So allt eh kids thought it was a bomb threat or something stupid. BUT NO! Suddenly we see a whole bunch of police men and fire men with gurney's and stuff like that. Now we all are wondering what's going on! The Principal starts talking about how there was something in the air that made everyone get sick. The asthmatics were taken to a different part of the building. The boys locker room was used for those kids who were being quarantined. They had to take showers and the hospital people wouldn't give the kids back their clothes!
So I was waiting on the hard bleachers, everyone took off their coats and propped up their backpacks and took naps. Or, other kids took out their cell phones and texted their parents to come pick them up. That's the thing... opnce the parents got to the builing, the police wouldn't let them leave. The parents were sent to a different building.
Soon enough all the sick kids were taken to the hospital, there was about 2 dozen kids sent their. They had to have their blood drawn and everything. A couple kids had asthma attacks and fainted, so those kids were life flighted to Salt Lake.
Meanwhile, the rest of us ate lunch that the cops or whatever brought in, sat around, talked, and slept. When i called mom, she said that our school was on the news and stuff like that showing pictures and talking to one of the police men on the phone. We were sitting on bleachers for 7 HOURS! So the Cheif starts talking on the micro phone and says that special equiptment is being flown in from Reno. If the equiptment says that their is something in the air, we get to saty at the school for another 6 hours! WOO-HOO.... :[ If the equiptment says negative then we can go home 45 minutes after that. So either way, we still have to wait. It took about an hour and a half for the equiptment to get to the schooland another half hour to test the air. Then the Cheif made the announcement.... Positive or Negative....? NEGATIVE!!!! We a ll got to go home. EVERYONE was screeming and yelling and running out the doors.
When I got outside, I had never seen so many firetrucks, ambulences, and police cars in my life! There were about 6 ambulences and a dozen police cars and two firetrucks! Yeah, a couple hours after people got hom they got sick. So that day wasn't very fun, but a big highlight of the month!
2. Nothing else really.... Super Bowl Sunday.. GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All-State
So.... A couple weeks ago I auditioned to sing in Las Vegas. 10 of us waited anxiously in the halls singing the octette together, also practicing our solos. There were Soprano 1's [me] Soprano 2's, Alto 1's Alto 2's, Tenor 1's Tenor 2's, and Bass 1's and Bass 2's. When we walked in there were 6 judges, one was at the piano and the other ones were at desks. They asked us to sing the octette Salve Regina [which was in Latin, so the pronounciation was a little hard!] After that they went through each person. Each person had to sing their solo, clap rhythms, sight-sing, and sing chromatic scales and triads. The solo was the most points, so you CANNOT MESS UP THE SOLO!!! The others were 5 points. All the soprano 1 solos were very very high up above high C, so it took a lot of breath to sing the pitch.... I was soooooo nervous.
We find out if we made it in just 2 weeks!!!!! If we make it in, we get to go to Vegas for 3 days and perform with other kids who made it in from all over Nevada.
The better part of Auitions, since Spring Creek and Elko kids had to wait a while to audtion we all hung out in a classroom and sang songs... and pretty much just hung out for a while!
